My resolution this year is to walk more and lose weight. My partner and I signed to do a virtual walking challenge, which we can complete at our own pace.
We just finished our first one!
I did the 10K Leopard challenge by Pacer. For this challenge, the 10K had to be completed in one workout. My partner did the 10K Tiger challenge. We set out on January 19th and managed to walk 11km!
I got the certificate below with the matching medal. 5% of the money for every challenge is donated to wildlife preservation organisations, so I've completed the walk and I've done something good at the same time.
We're already planning our next challenge, though this one will be done over several walks. We're looking at 52km challenges, each of us doing a different one.
Obviously for my first challenge it had to be cat related! When I saw the leopard challenge I knew that was the one I was going to do. My partner also wanted to do one of the big cat challenges so he chose the tiger.
I'm glad that I'm already off to a good start with the Pacer challenges and I can't wait to start my next one. I'd like to be able to build up a collection of medals and certificates and hopefully lose weight at the same time!
