November is coming up, which means it's time to announce my last writing project of 2026.
This one will be...
Puppet Master.
The last horror book I wrote was Mute, so I think I'm well overdue writing another one!
Curse of Anubis is a horror series, but it was mixed with fantasy and Egyptian gods, so it wasn't a pure horror book. But Puppet Master will be.
Sixteen year old Delta goes to a summer camp with her friends, but the forest holds evil entities. Ones that feed on negative emotions and prey on those who are emotionally vulnerable. Delta's friend, Elena, has one of the entities latch onto her. Delta has to get rid of it without bringing too much attention to herself, or she'll become a victim too.
This book takes place in a forest, with wooden cabins, campfires and various fun activities throughout the day. But the workers know that there are Puppet Masters who live in a certain part of the forest.
This book follows Delta as she tries to save Elena, while trying to get information from the people around her. There will be those who try to help, but you'll have to wait and see if Delta and Elena follow the advice they're given.
I'm really looking forward to writing a horror book again with a scary monster. I want this book to have a similar atmosphere to Mute, full of suspense, scares and gore.
I know some of you having been waiting a while for me to write another horror book, so I hope that you like the sound of this one. I'm hoping to finish the first draft by the end of November. I'm aiming for about 70K words.
